Sleepy Hollow (Formerly North Tarrytown) is a historic river village within the Town of Mount Pleasant, located on the eastern bank of the Hudson River about 30 miles north of Manhattan and 10 miles west of White Plains. It is a short, scenic 40 minute Metro North train ride along the Hudson River shoreline to New York City.
The Village of Sleepy Hollow is 2.3 square miles and is bordered to the north by the Town of Mount Pleasant, to the south by the Village of Tarrytown, to the west by the Hudson River, and to the east by the Town of Mount Pleasant. The Village is nested within the Town of Mount Pleasant and the population is 9,870.
Sleepy Hollow is located on the banks of the Hudson River directly across the river from Upper Nyack, NY.
